Layout for 'Bonnie and Clyde'

In the past two weeks we have been working with layout, with the teaching of Uri Kranot. Not an easy subject for me since I'm not very experienced with backgrounds. So it's great that I got some more experience with it, it really opened up my mind and eyes to how interesting environments can be and how much it can influence the mood of the scene.

This is the last assignment from the last week of Layout and After Effects. 

We were supposed to make layout for the story of Bonnie and Clyde. The scene is supposed to be the finishing scene of the movie, right after they get shot by the policemen's ambush.

The fun part is that we had a lot of freedom so we kind of got to be the directors, and not only get a storyboard and copy it. So this way I got to experiment with  how everything works together (composition, camera movement, camera shots, set design, and sound) to help me give the mood that I was aiming for.

 

More from the girl that I posted two weeks ago, I will try to develop her some more.

Dialogue Animation with Roxanne from 'A Goofy Movie'

Those two weeks we've been working on a dialogue animation for the first time.

We had Christian Kuntz as a teacher, and we had number of audio clips to choose from and various characters, I chose Roxanne from A Goffy Movie because of great childhood memories from this film.

 It is very challenging to fit the animation to the sound clip, and to make the acting as believable and interesting as possible. I also had a hard time making the character preform as a girl, I couldn't use only myself as a reference, so the first thing I did was asking my awesome classmate Juliette to act the scene, and her great acting skills helped me a lot in finding some ideas for the movement. 

Little Red Riding Hood

This is from a color week with Lawrence Marvit, which was again mind-blowing. 

I could definitely render it more and play some more with the lightning, but that's what I got right now.  

Hope to get some more experience with colors in the future.

Gesture Drawings

We started meeting up every Saturday, a funny group of friends, for gesture drawing. We bring some random accessories and pose to each other, trying to make up stories.
